To get the optimum refill surcumstance, it is helpfull to cool down the lighter (i.e. in a refrigerator), by keeping the gas refill cartridge at room temperature (the gas pressure increases). By cooling down the lighter the refilling process will be much easier, because of the reduced gaspressure left in the lighter tank.

> Place the lighter on a solid and flame resistent surface (table or board) and hold it steady, with the refill valve on top to ease the access.

> Take care, that the pushbutton is not pressed.

> Put the refill cartridge (adapter) vertical on the refill valve, press it gentle down and hold it in position. After approx. 10 to 15 seconds the filling process shouild be completed. If the lighter does not take any gas, please repeat the sequence.

> Bring the lighter back to room temperature (hold it in your hands), because a gas lighter needs an required temperature of approx. 20° Celsius to work correctly. Adjust the flame height if necessary.

Make sure, that you buy high quality Isobutangas for gaslighter only, from named brands available in specialized shops.
Even that most of the lighters can be refilled with the standard adapter, it is advisable to ask for the right adapter, when buying a gas lighter. Some models require a special adapter ( included with high quality refill cartridges), to be refilled correctly.
